GRATEFUL

These days I feel so, so grateful to God that He spared my life recently. I find myself relating to the Apostle Paul when he spoke of his own near-death experience in Philippians 1:21-24
“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.”
Paul knew that while heaven was waiting, God still had a purpose for him here, and that’s how I’ve been feeling too.
I’m humbled that God gave me more time. But even more, I’m overwhelmed by His love.
That love is perfectly captured in John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
I don’t know where you’re at right now, but if you’ve ever wondered if God loves you, let this verse answer that once and for all: He does. He loves you so much that He sent Jesus to die for you so that you could have eternal life, not separation from Him. It’s not about being perfect or “good enough.” It’s about believing and receiving the gift Jesus already paid for you on the cross.
I’m sharing this because I care, and it is my calling as a believer in Jesus Christ to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
If you’ve never considered what it means to have a relationship with Jesus or to be right with God, maybe today’s a day to pause and think about it. God’s arms are open. His love is real. And the invitation is for you too.
